Better Place to Study – the UK or the UAE?

Choice of Universities
The UK is home to over 165 universities providing roof over 28.6 lakh students. Almost all of them rank well in the world rankings based on their research excellence, student satisfaction, and alumni success. The UK universities dominate 4 of the top #10 of the world. Financial Aspects
International students enrolled in UAE’s public university an expect to pay INR 4.47 lakh to INR 24.75 lakh per year. They can calculate their tuition fee with the total number of credit hours in the program. Notably, the fee for 1 credit hour is INR 34 thousand. Whereas those in private universities typically pay higher. An undergraduate course costs INR 8.51-15.9 lakh, while graduate ones does INR 12.49-17 lakh. Apart from that, they need a minimum of 1,300 AED or INR 27 thousand as cost of living. In the UAE, rent is about 750-7,500 AED, monthly food 725-1,200 AED, transportation 210 AED and so on.
The UK is rather more expensive. Undergraduate courses cost between INR 10-34 lakh per academic year. Typically, undergraduate degree courses in most locations in the UK are of 3 years but, exceptionally, 4 in Scotland. Post graduation courses cost between INR 9-26.84 lakh depending on the university, its accreditation and research facilities. Students can bank on further INR 80 thousands to INR 1.16 lakh to cover your accommodation, bills, groceries, and other expenses during your studies. Or INR 1.2-1.5 lakh to study and live in London. However, the UK offers more scholarships to cover these expenses.
