Cost of Studying at MIT
International students aspiring to study at MIT can except their tuition fee to range between INR 35 lakh to INR 1 Crore. For an undergraduate course, their annual fees could be between INR 49.97 lakh to INR 50.31 lakh. Whereas, those applying for postgraduate courses can bank on a tuition fee between INR 35.13 lakh to 1.02 crore. Like anywhere else, the tuition fee varies as per their selected fields and courses. They can choose to pay their fee every semester or annually during the admission. Their instalment shall be divided as specified during their admission procedure. Furthermore, they need between INR 8.38 lakh and INR 15 lakh per year to manage different aspects of their living.
To lessen their financial burden, MIT offers financial aid to international students in need of them. In order to apply, students must apply through CSS Profile. It is a tool provided by the MIT College Board to submit financial proof such as bank statements, investment records and tax returns to avail of the scholarship.

Requirements for Studying at MIT
MIT has two different admission portals for UG and PR applicants. Apart from educational and financial documents, students also need to submit their English language proficiency test scores, GRE/GMAT (if applicable) scores, SOP and recommendation letters. IELTS, PTE, TOEFL and Duolingo are all accepted. Students can submit their admission application online on MIT Admissions (UG) and MIT Education (PG) with a non-refundable fee of INR 6278.31. They also have an exclusive official website to monitor and manage MBA admission applications. However, the cost of application for these programs is INR 20,927.69. Different courses have different application guidelines and deadlines. Early action admissions should be submitted by mid-December 2024 while regular action applicants have till March 2025. However, students must check the MIT website to review their updated decisions.

- Complete application with the fee receipt
- Original mark sheets/provisional certificates
- A printed copy of DS-160 (the online application form)
- SEVIS fee receipt
- Interview appointment letter (original and copy)
- Form I-20 sent by the university
- Visa fee payment confirmation receipt
- Financial documents such as bank statements (for at least three years), pay/salary slips, loan papers, etc.
- English proficiency test scorecard
- GRE or GMAT scorecard for PG courses.
