Most of us have either applied for a visitor visa or know someone who did. It is the most common type of visa known. Individuals travelling for events or looking forward to meeting with friends or family can apply for a visitor visa to travel to another country. Whether you are attending concerts or formal events like business gatherings, seminars and exhibitions; it lays the way to go. It also serves patients looking for an expert opinion or specialised treatment available in a distant land. And others to explore them. The tourist visa as well as the visitor visa cater to travellers who wish to visit foreign countries for tourism purposes. However, the latter comes with a longer validity date.
Apart from the financial eligibility, most country authorities have set no bar to match. Nor does it mandate scorecards from any language or IQ test. Hence, it is one of the easiest visas to get. That being said, it doesn’t mean you will get a visitor visa simply by applying for it. There are rules and they are to be strictly followed. If your visitor visa couldn’t attain approval from the country you wish to go to, chances are you have made some errors in your form or with the documents provided. Therefore, applying repeatedly would not sail your boat. Or in this case, fly your plane.
Reasons for Visa Refusal
There could be numerous reasons why. One of the most common reasons for the visa authority to decline a visitor visa is the applicant’s inability to demonstrate their urge to return. As the visitor visa doesn’t allow you to stay for an indefinite time, without showing a need for your return, you will be inadmissible. The other reason could be your medical condition. Most countries require the applicant to present a medical certificate outlining their current physical and mental health. If the applicant seems unfit for the travel or may face serious issues because of it, their application is denied. Further, if they have or possess the symptoms of a communicable disease, they will not gain access to any region outside your national border.
You may apply as many more times as you desire, the application status won’t change. Well, at least not like these conditions better at your end. Even small errors in the application form or documents may result in failure. You must provide accurate information in the visa application form. This information will be verified with documents, so make sure it matches with as mentioned in the document. For instance, if your passport says Kavya Singh Tomar, chances are that the application in the name of Kavya Tomar may get rejected. Ensure that your passport has enough validity to make the round trip.
As long as you don’t have a criminal record or the country has something against Indians, it is fixable. However, your visa history also plays a major role here. If you have had an approved visa in the past but hadn’t used it without a valid reason, the new board may feel reluctant to approve your application. Apart from a valid reason, you also need to provide them with a good character certificate.
How to Overcome Visa Refusal
If you are confident that you check all the boxes, you have the right to appeal against refusal. Particularly, the rules may differ from different countries based on their reasons for denying your visa. Alternatively, you can request the administration from another office or a consultant to check your form and help you reapply. Simply reapplying for a visa will only cost you time and money. Figure it out and figure it out fast! At the same time, in most cases, the authority sends a refusal letter with the reason(s) for rejecting the visa. Once you have detected a mistake, correct it and then reapply. Some countries may demand you to submit your refused copy along with the new one to crosscheck themselves.
